AYA (African Youth Agriprenuers) is a virtual market place for young business men/women. The concept was designed after analysis that showed that the challenges faced by youth in the labour market are inadequate access to financial services, inadequate technical skills to execute enterprises, lack of favorable policy spaces for the youth to interact and lack of market for their commodities. This virtual space brings together various stakeholders within the public and private sector and provides a safe haven for youth enterprises to talk and seek information. At AYA we believe that youth are the future employers of tomorrow and they should be given space to innovate while using the technical information and guided mentorship to create employment and wealth creation within the African nations.
The major strategic objectives of AYA involve
- Capacity building youth enterprises
- Business development through strategic linkages
- Knowledge base for innovation.
